The City of Surrey has set aside land in the community for future construction of a local school and additional park space. South Meridian Elementary in Semiamhoo and Peace Arch Elementary in White Rock are the closest public schools to Pacific Douglas neighbourhood. Most high school students attend Earl Marriott Secondary in White Rock. Independent Southridge School with grades from K – 12 is located close by. Rosemary Heights, Sunnyside and South Meridian Elementary schools are all just a few minutes’ drive from the neighbourhood.
Quick access to Highway 99 north to Richmond and Vancouver and south to the US border add to the appeal of this community. TransLink has regular bus routes linking South Surrey to other communities like White Rock, Langley and Delta, including a fast commute to Bridgeport Station in Richmond with transfers to the Canada Line.
