The four neighbourhoods located on the eastern side of Coquitlam Mundy / Cape Horn include Ranch Park, Meadow Brook, the large Coquitlam East neighbourhood and the smaller Cape Horn. All of these neighbourhoods are family oriented, close to transit and shopping, and offer very good value it today’s modern housing market. Ranch Park with excellent views across Coquitlam’s Town Centre looks towards Burke Mountain and the Golden Ears to the east. The neighbourhood is mostly detached homes, many situated on an attractive greenbelt home to Pinnacle Ravine Creek. While Meadow Brook is a smaller residential neighbourhood on the border with Port Coquitlam, with a large supply of detached single family homes and a limited selection of townhomes.

Compared to Burnaby, Vancouver and the North Shore, Meadow Brook is well known for affordability and attracts many first-time buyers, with lots too small for recent developer activity. The largest of the four neighbourhoods, Coquitlam East is a family-friendly suburban area composed mainly of detached homes, many located on a hillside with outstanding views of Mount Baker and the Port Mann Bridge.

Real estate buyers will find a good mix of townhomes, condominiums and detached homes. And the Cape Horn neighbourhood in the eastern portion of Coquitlam is known for good value and ideal for families. Detached homes are the dominant form of housing in this community. Some of the neighbourhoods of Mundy / Cape Horn are located near Coquitlam Skytrain station and the Evergreen Extension on the Millennium Line, which is a hub with handy bus connections to Port Coquitlam, Burnaby, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge & Vancouver. While there’s no direct Skytrain service in the Coquitlam East neighbourhood, easy bus connection will connect commuters to Braid, Lougheed or Coquitlam Stations.

Nearby Coquitlam Centre is the Tri-Cities largest regional shopping centre featuring a Real Canadian Superstore, BC Liquor Store and numerous restaurants. Unique destination shops at Coquitlam Centre include Uniqlo, the innovative Japanese firm famous for functional apparel and high-quality wardrobe staples. In Cape Horn, residents are right next door to the Silvercity Coquitlam VIP Cinemas with IMAX, Ultra AVS, 3D theatres and more. For live theatre lovers, the 257-seat Evergreen Cultural Centre in Ranch Park features a 257-seat live theatre, rehearsal hall, art studios and art gallery. Other attractions include a bowling alley and Japanese, Italian, Korean and Pho restaurants.

For love of the great outdoors, Mundy Park a 178 hectare forested playground is home to walking trails, dog park, playground, sports fields, picnic areas and outdoor pool. Nearby is Colony Farm Regional Park with open fields, hedgerows & wetlands that provide habitat for more than 200 bird species. Excellent walking and cycling trails showcase great views of river, fields & mountains. The four eastern neighbourhoods of Coquitlam Mundy / Cape Horn are recognized for quality schools and education options, as part of school district No. 43 in Coquitlam – the third largest in British Columbia. Families can choose from a total 7 elementary schools, 6 middle schools and 4 secondary schools in these neighbourhoods. Private school options include Our Lady of Assumption, BC Christian Academy and the Traditional Learning Academy.
